Prevalence rate of Psychosis

In search of the estimated prevalence rate of psychosis:

England: Meta-analyses with pooled statistics 31.7/100,000 person per year Incidence of Schizophrenia and Other Psychoses in England, 1950–2009: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses

Finland: Population study yielding 3.06% (3.48% when nonresponding group with diagnosis included) Lifetime Prevalence of Psychotic and Bipolar I Disorders in a General Population

In addition, some other stats to entertain although I have not checked the original sources

1. 4 women per 1,000 women aged 16-64 with a psychotic disorder in England and Wales 2000
2. 5 men per 1,000 men aged 16-64 have a psychotic disorder in England and Wales 2000
3. 4 per 1,000 population aged 16-64 in England and Wales 2000 with a psychotic disorder

In addition, just by looking at the prevalence rate of Schizophrenia (not counting other types of psychotic disorders)... approx 1 in 123 or 0.81% or 2.2 million people in USA.

Which estimate is closer to the global true score?  

Regardless... ain't quite so impossible for one to be affected by psychosis... I guess?!

No threat intended... but anyone could become one of us.  Guess it's why it's important to study psychosis and find ways to intervene... though the prevalence rate isn't exactly high... it ain't so low.  sigh
